Recently, the China Construction First Bureau (Group) Co., Ltd. General Contractor, China Construction Steel Structure Co., Ltd., the world's second steel structure construction, China's tallest building, Shenzhen Ping An Financial Center has been constructed to 88 floors, with a height of more than 410 meters, and Shenzhen Diwang Building and Jingji 100 Building form the city skyline.

 

It is understood that the steel structure of Ping An Financial Center is about 100,000 tons, which is four times that of Shenzhen Diwang Building. Now, Ping An Financial Center is in a state of intense construction, and the construction speed is as fast as 4 days. As the height continues to rise, the project is expected to break through 450 meters in late June 2014, when it will surpass the total height of 441.8 meters of the Jingji 100 Building and become a new landmark in Shenzhen.

 

As the tallest building under construction in China, Ping An Financial Center has many advantages from structural design to construction technology. Among them, steel structure is an important part. The main structure of the building adopts the structure of “mega frame-core tube-outer arm”, with 5 floors underground and 118 floors above ground. The building area is 490,000 square meters. Upon completion, it will become the tallest building in China and the second tallest building in the world.

 

There are eight giant steel columns in the outer frame of Ping An Financial Center, which are evenly distributed around the building. The giant columns are connected from the basement to the elevation of 550 meters above ground. The overall height is 580 meters, just like the eight Optimus pillars supporting the whole building. The weight and vertical load become the "floor" needle. Each 580-meter-long giant column is split into 112 sections in the factory and installed at the construction site. The largest section of the huge column is 5.5 meters long and 2.3 meters wide. The maximum weight of the single-section giant column is 115 tons.
